EXPLORE TEACHING AREAS

3D DESIGN & CAD

Build ideas in three dimensions.

I teach students to turn observations and ideas into three-dimensional forms. Through Autodesk Maya and Autodesk Fusion, they explore scale, proportion, modeling, materials, and spatial relationships, developing projects that move from individual objects to interior spaces and virtual environments.

COURSES

Students build a foundation in Autodesk Maya through object and furniture modeling. They use references and measurements to construct believable forms, then combine individual assets into a planned interior environment.

Learning focus: Navigate Maya; model from reference; work to a consistent scale; organize objects into a coherent scene.

Learning to Shape Light

I introduce portrait lighting through Rembrandt lighting before moving into two-point and three-point setups. Students practice using flash and adjusting the position of lights to observe changes in shadow, depth, and facial form. Through hands-on practice and critique, they connect lighting decisions with the mood and clarity of their portraits.
